Makers Made celebrates the people who turn ideas into something that did not exist before.

The artwork reflects the relationship between making and becoming—the way creativity produces more than an object, design, business, photograph, painting, written work, or idea. Through the process of creating, makers develop their own skills, perspectives, confidence, and understanding of what they are capable of producing next.

As the sixth artwork in Affirmations II, Makers Made moves the collection into creativity. It considers making as its own form of affirmation: evidence that an idea was imagined, explored, worked through, and ultimately given a place in the world.

Created for personal printing, this high-resolution artwork celebrates creativity as both an outcome and an ongoing practice—the things makers make, and the ways making continues to shape the maker.
